Why I Stand With Israel

Wait a minute…

Before you dismiss me out of hand thinking you already know what I’m going to say about why I stand with Israel, give me a few minutes of your time and I might surprise you!

So many good folks have written extensively on this subject, and it might seem ludicrous to you to have yet another article on the subject.

However, since I have been told so many times that my writing is simple, clear, easy to follow, and even inspirational (!), I will venture a few more lines here.

When I say “Israel,” do you hear “Jews only”?

If you do, then you need a filter change.

Israel is made up of:

  • Jews
  • Arabs
  • Palestinians (Arabs)
  • Christians from all over the globe
  • and many other sects and religions.

Israel is the ONLY democracy in a sea of Muslim nations…

many of which are hostile to anyone who is not like them. Israel is the only nation in the Middle East that stands for…

  • Promotes and seeks freedom
  • Liberty
  • Justice
  • An open society
  • And supports worship of the God of the Bible.

Equal opportunity for women with equal pay and even the right of anti-biblical lifestyles to openly express their preferences, is protected by Israeli law.

I stand with Israel because the God I worship has chosen that land and people to express Himself in miraculous and eternal ways.

The foundation of everything I believe to be holy was given to this people to be guardians of and to demonstrate the goodness and even the reality of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

The Jewish people have been given a great blessing in all this and, therefore, a great responsibility is carried by them as a people-nation to demonstrate the love and goodness of our God. Israel is quick to share phenomenal advancements in technology, science, warfare, defense, agriculture, and so much more. Israelis are regularly awarded Nobel prizes that vastly outnumber their tiny percentage of the world’s population.

Israelis are a generous and friendly people. They are quick to smile and offer a helping hand…even to enemies. There are too many stories of major

There are too many stories of major life-saving efforts extended to wounded Syrians, Jordanians, Egyptians, and even Palestinian terrorists who had come to kill but wound up being saved themselves.

The now famous “Son of Hamas” had a radical change of heart when he went to Israel to destroy the nation and instead wound up spying on his own father, the founder of Hamas! The reason was

The reason was because he saw for himself the goodness of the people and the God of Israel. He became a born-again Christian, who still travels today, and speaks on behalf of the Israeli people and their destiny.

I stand with Israel not only because she is the land of my fathers, the Bible, the prophets, and the throne of God;

I stand with Israel because her cause is right and just.

Also, for the Jewish people to have a homeland with secure borders, the right to worship as they choose, and to express the life and giftings bestowed on them by their creator.

I stand with Israel not only because of her past and the amazing present that she displays, but also for the glorious future that is as sure as the God who spoke the words to the prophets of Israel so many millennia ago.

I long for the day when the nations will once again stream to Jerusalem, the city of the Great King, when the lion will lay down with the lamb…and the poisonous snake will have no more power over life and death.

When all the promises for the generations will be fulfilled and Jerusalem and her people are fully and finally restored.

Then Jerusalem will be changed from being a stone of stumbling for all nations to the joy of the whole earth.

The King of all kings will sit on the Throne of David in Jerusalem which is the undivided and eternal capital of Israel and the Kingdom of God.

Oh yes…

I do stand with Israel.

No other place nor other people can fulfill the prophecies, and no other people can welcome back the King with the blessed words…

“Baruch haba b’shem Adonai; Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!”
