Each month, I am filled with so much excitement about our First Friday event in my home town of Jacksonville, Florida. I realize that most of my friends aren’t able to make the trip to our event, which is why our ministry records it online.
If you missed this past First Friday event with my good friend Chuck Pierce, don’t fret, you can watch it on my YouTube channel. Be advised that the audio is missing for the first few minutes as Chuck takes the platform, due to a technical error, but the sound quickly returns for his message segment…and it is well worth the wait!
The worship team did a wonderful job as always—they are truly worshipers, not mere performers. My dear friend Michael Hohman joined us on the keyboards. He was on staff with us for five years and really knows me well.
Worship was deep and intense—we spent double our normal amount of time. Our “A King is Coming“ contest winner, Carmen Rice, was there on the front row with her sister. (If you have no idea what I’m talking about…just keep watching during the worship time here).
After the service I met a couple who flew in from Hawaii to join us for First Friday. Yes, people come very long distances just to worship with us face to face! We have had folks fly from Europe as well to join us for Passover and other special events.
One item I’d like to apologize for is that we promised our followers that we would have the service available for viewing on multiple platforms. We encountered additional technical issues attempting to stream to YouTube (which is what was also supposed to push to our website). Because of this, only our live feed to Facebook worked.
We greatly apologize for the inconvenience and are working on resolving this for our next First Friday event!
Our next First Friday will be on June 2nd, so put it on your calendar now and plan to join us for an evening to remember.
